Landsat Mosaic - 2004

The following images show the Australian continent with a satellite imagery mosaic and a raster map image. Side by side presentation allows for comparison between the same area of the satellite and map images and to see how various features such as roads, boundary and land use can be seen on each of the two images.

The image on the left is a Satellite image produced from data collected in 2004 on the Landsat-7 satellite with the ETM+ sensor using spectral bands 2,4 and 7. This image has 300m resolution and can be down loaded as a file or brought as a poster at this link. The image on the right is a raster image of the 1:250,000 map and shows roads, State boundary's, National parks and towns and cities.

To zoom in on the images use the magnification tool, to pan across the images use the hand tool.
