The image above is a Landsat 5 TM subscene (bands 2,3,4) over Sumbawa, Indonesia.
The terrain consists of sea-level swamps, grassland and patches of lowland tropical forest around the perimeter of the islands, with thick, tropical rainforest on the slopes of the volcanic interior. Komodo Island is visible off the eastern tip of Sumbawa. This is a national park and the home of the Komodo dragon lizard.
