North-West Cape in Western Australia is the home of Ningaloo Marine Park. The marine park contains Ningaloo Reef, clearly visible in the image, which runs along the west coast of the Cape. The park stretches for 260km around the coast of North-West Cape and extends seaward about 10 nautical miles, encompassing over 4,000 sq. km. of ocean.
Other places of interest are Cape Range National Park, featuring land formations the result of massive geological upheaval, and the towns of Exmouth and Learmouth. |
