The Landsat 7 image above features a section of the southern coastline of Western Australia.

The bright red areas in the image are recent fire scars. (New vegetation is visible as shades of red). Lake Dundas is visible top left as light blue, and is likely to be mainly a salt lake during the dry season. The City of Esperance is about the centre of the coastline with Kalgoorlie (not visible) located to the north.
